The Show II

The Motion were in Enola on June 2nd and 3rd for "The Show II." It was my first time seeing them play in a few weeks and they really looked like a completely different team, they were much improved. Their first game on Saturday was a good one with the Motion leading most of the way before losing control at the end with a final of 75-68.  Jordan Dockens led the way for the Motion with 27 points and 9 rebounds. Pat Stevens also had a strong game with 17 points. John Ramsey played a great game at point guard and finished the game with 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The Motion were able to bounce back and get a win in their second game on Saturday. It was another tight one with a final score of 63 to 57. Pat Stevens had another good performance with 22 points and 10 boards while Chad Smitz poured in 18 points. The playoff bracket began on Sunday and it was win or go home for the Motion. They were fortunate to get a forfeit win their first game and move on to the next round. However, their next game was against the Central Penn Ballers, whom they had already lost to twice this season. The Motion came out strong in the first half, leading by as many as 12 points a couple different times during the half. The Ballers looked sluggish and lazy and the Motion took advantage. But the Ballers picked up the intensity in the the last 5 minutes of the half and took the lead into halftime. From there, they never looked back. The Motion fought hard, but were simply outmatched by the size of the Ballers. The final score was 91-78 in favor of the Ballers. Chad Smitz had another big scoring game putting in 21 points to go along with 6 assists. Pat Stevens continued his strong play with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Evan Zimmerman had his best game of the tournament with 19 points. Stats for the entire tournament are listed below:
